Once, on a road trip through Oregon, future Reno Co-Founder, Ryan Neighbors stopped in at a Growler Guys for a beer. He was so enamored with the concept that he felt Reno needed one. This Friday, The Growler Guys opens its doors in south Reno to a thirsty little city.

Let’s start with 62 taps pouring beer, cider, wine, kombucha, CBD kombucha, ginger and root beer. A food menu that includes pizza, subs, wings, cheese bread and tots. Family-friendly and a nice deck with a grass area for games.

The Grand Opening takes place this Friday & Saturday, May 17 & 18. Promos include your chance to win FREE beer for a year! One lucky winner will win a 32 oz. CROWLER a week for a year on both Friday and Saturday. Other give-aways over the 2-day event will include 10 each $50.00 gift cards and 20 each $25.00 gift cards. (You don’t need to be present to win). Also, The first 500 64 oz. growler fills will receive a free Growler Guys amber glass growler.

The Growler Guys has 12 locations, mostly in the Pacific Northwest (and one in Eu Claire, WI). The flagship started as a growler fill station in Bend, Oregon at the Stop and Go Shell gas station (this is the location that Ryan first went to). The concept has grown and evolved since then.

Some of the ideals of The Growler Guys  include:

Proper glassware – TGG feel that the proper glass will not only hold your beer but it can completely change how you experience it. The right glass allows you to get the full appreciation and admiration for the flavor,  appearance, color, carbonation and foam.

Unlimited samples – That’s right, try as many as you want.

Growlers & Crowlers – If you want to take it home, fill a 32 oz. or 64 oz. glass jug or a 32 oz. can. All vessels are purged with CO2 before filling to make for a more stable take-home product.

The Growler Guys is located at 7530 Longley Ln #106 in south Reno at the intersection of S. Virginia and Longley (behind the O’Reilly Auto Parts).

Hours: Sunday – Thursday, 11 AM – 10 PM; Friday & Saturday 11 AM – Midnight.
