The lead for this week’s column should be “Reno Beer Week Starts This Weekend!”. Unfortunately, that isn’t happening. If you haven’t heard by now, you read about it HERE. We should also be kicking things off with Backwash which was also cancelled due to a squabble with the Washoe County Health Dept. Both these situations are being addressed over time. Read on for details on what events, releases and news we do have in our local craft beverage scene in the Northern Nevada region.

We have added a couple of new happenings to our EVENTS page! Just in case you wanted to plan ahead…

Alibi Ale Works has released Step Up Session IPA which supports the Truckee Bike Park and all their awesome programs. This beer features mosaic, eureka and eldorado hops layered over a medium-bodied malt backbone. Aromas of juicy tangerine and honeydew melon greet the nose, followed by a pleasantly dank/mango finish. It is very sessionable at 4.5% ABV. On tap at the brewery, Truckee taproom and select bars and restaurants in the area.

Pigeon Head Brewing has released Bridge Dweller a New England style IPA. Brewed with Mosaic, Citra, and Simcoe hops that give it a nice earthy, pine, and melon profile.

Under The Rose Brewing is no longer keeping regular hours at the brewery on 4th. According to a FB post they are only doing private brewery tours and events at that location. Check out the new location in Midtown.

Directions to all the local craft establishments can be found on our CRAFT MAP.
