ON TAP this week…
The Thirsty Nevadan does not drink green beer. A well crafted Stout on the other hand, is our go-to St. Patrick’s beer. There are many great choices that are brewed locally… May we suggest the multi award-winning Outlaw Milk Stout from Great Basin, one of the three Stouts brewed by Lead Dog (Peanut Butter Chocolate, Choconilla or Imperial Vanilla) or a Roasters Imperial Coffee Stout at Brewer’s Cabinet? You are going to find tons of events going on all over town for St. Pat’s but we won’t list them here. Check the social feed of your favorite establishment for info. Read on for details about events, releases and news for our local craft beverage scene for the upcoming week in the Northern Nevada region. Cheers!

We have added a couple of new happenings to our EVENTS page! Just in case you wanted to plan ahead…
Lead Dog Brewing has released a couple of new beers: Hop Gods is a North-East Style Triple IPA brewed with Citra and Mosaic hops. 45 IBU, 9.4% ABV.
Acropolis is a North-East Style Double IPA. 40 IBU, 7.5% ABV.
South Lake Brewing has released Schralp and Tickle, a hazy, yet dry IPA hopped generously with Mosaic and Cashmere hops. Notes of fruity pebbles, lemon/lime, and fresh coconut in a refreshing package. 6.6% ABV, 35 IBU.
Alibi Ale Works is releasing Stratazacca, a new one-off cloudy IPA double dry hopped with Strata and Azacca hops layered over a malt bill featuring 3 types of oats. Notes of green papayas, passionfruit, mango smoothies, and those lime green new-growth pine needles that are just about to start springing to life in our local forests. It’s fluffy in texture with a slightly drier finish than most hazy IPAs. On draft only at both locations starting Thursday or Friday. 6.75% ABV.
Sidellis Lake Tahoe Brewery has released Black Buried, a Blackberry Berlinerweisse sour aged in Chardonnay barrels. 5% ABV.
Quintopia has released Ella X-Pale Ale. Brewed exclusively with Ella, an Australian grown hop variety, this refreshing Extra-Pale Ale shows some tropical fruit notes, against a unique downunder dankness. 5.6% ABV, 28 IBU.
The Brewer’s Cabinet has a new promotion where, every Tuesday, they will trade you a six-pack of older, non-local beer for your choice of a FRESH six-pack of BC beer, FREE, at their taproom. The purpose is to encourage beer lovers to drink local and fresh, so go clean out your fridge. The fine print: One six-pack per customer each Tuesday. Take-out only (no on-site consumption) but feel free to purchase a beer on-tap while you’re there. Trade-in 6pk must be date stamped and be more than 90 days old and not from a local brewery. 6pk must be complete, not broken or mixed.
The Eddy is planning on being open for the 2019 season on Thursday, March 14 just in time for St. Patrick’s festivities.
