We have added a couple of new happenings to our EVENTS page! Just in case you wanted to plan ahead…
The Fox Brewpub just released STOIC THE BRUT, a Brut Extra Dry Unfiltered IPA, that is light in color, light bodied, low bitterness, with a TON of flavor and aroma from the Citra hops, with a crisp, extra dry champagne-like finish. 35 IBU, 6.5% ABV.
Quintopia Brewing has released Swoon, a Hazy IPA w/ Jasmine tea. A subtle hint of Jasmine drifting delicately amongst the haze; bittersweet, floral, and a touch dank from tons of Chinook and Simcoe hops. This smooth IPA is sure to give you sweet dreams. 50 IBU, 7.4%ABV.
South Lake Brewing Company recently released Questing: El Dorado, their next venture in the single hop IPA line. Fermented with expressive yeast and hopped exclusively with a new lot of El Dorado hops, giving you a bright tropical aroma, and notes of melon, citrus mojito, and ripe pineapple, this beer delivers the juicy goods. 6.8% ABV.
Alibi Ale Works just released Reverb Red, a classic American Red Ale. Caramel malts greet the palate with a base of toasty/bready malt flavors, finishing with a perfect piney balance from Cascade and Centennial hops added throughout the boil. This is a full-bodied, full-flavored session beer that will transport you back to simpler times. 5.0% ABV. Available at both taprooms.
South Lake’s Outpost Brewing Co. is changing their name to South of North Brewing Co. According to a brewery spokesperson, during the trademark review process the USPTO referenced a conflict with a trademark that existed in the winery industry and denied the the claim. It appears to be more common now for brewery and winery applicants to be considered in the same “category” even though USPTO has them listed separately.
In an email conversation, representatives said, “Outpost got us to here, South of North will get us to where we want to be. After a lot of behind the scenes consideration and reflection, we pivoted towards a name we equally love and feel represents the work we do and the outlook we want to have as a brand. We loved being Outpost Brewing Co, and are just as excited to continue to operate and brew under South of North. The beer hasn’t, and won’t change. Same people, and dream. But now we have a name that’s ours, and can only be ours. One we’re excited to build now and for the future.”
The 395 Craft Beer & Spirits is now open in Golden Valley.
