Oktoberfest 2018 at Alibi Truckee – their second annual Oktoberfest party and for the first time, Alibi Truckee will have an OUTDOOR Beer Garden. Alibi-Brewed German Lagers, custom steins (limited supply!) bratwurst plates, games and good times! Look forward to German music during the day with LIVE MUSIC from Taking Root on Friday night and Drinking with Clowns on Saturday night!
Starts Friday, October 5th at 3 PM and continues throughout the weekend.

Reno Food Systems presents Reno Hops Fest – Come enjoy 10 local brews by 8 different breweries using hop varieties grown at the Main Station Field Lab. Vote for your favorite brew and help a local brewery win the $1,000 prize! Bid on beautiful gift baskets in the silent auction.

The High Desert Hops Project (HDHP) is an experimental 1-acre hops farm in partnership with Reno Food Systems and UNR. The demonstration plot is located at the University’s Main Station Field Lab and is currently cultivating 10 different hops varieties. $40. Tickets HERE.

LakeToberfest continues at Brewforia through Sunday. This week-long celebration offers a special menu for the entire week featuring traditional German dishes, beer, wine and cocktails along with music, games and contests.

Pinon Bottle presents their own version of what they’re calling Oktstonerfest with the running of a beer mile round Piñon at 2 PM and then they’re jammin’ out all night. They’ll have a nice selection of Oktoberfest beers, pumpkin ales, and good ol’ danky ales. There will be a featured cask ale available as well, but it won’t last long. Be ready to work up a thirst… and have it quenched.

The Historic Reno Preservation Society invites you to an Historic 4th Street Brewery Tour. Take a stroll along a stretch of Reno’s historic 4th Street corridor and hear stories about how the area developed. They will talk about the history of beer brewing in this area, a legacy recently revived in the district. They will also touch on the various industries that have characterized this corridor since its inception.
During the half-mile walk, you will stop in at Pigeon Head Brewery, Lead Dog Brewing, and The Depot for beer tastings and building tours. The price includes tastings at all three breweries. Space is limited. Must be 21 or over to join this tour.
Proceeds from this tour support the Historic Reno Preservation Society, a local 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and promoting historic resources in the Truckee Meadows through education, advocacy, and leadership. HRPS Members $30 — Non-members $45.

South Lake Brewing has introduced Pie Shop. Peach is their first beer in their rotating series of dessert inspired fruited, kettle sour ales. Conditioned on peach purée and vanilla beans, this beer has notes of peach cobbler and refreshing lemonade. Named after a local rock climbing area. 5.2% ABV.
Pigeon Head Brewery has re-released Turkish Coffee Black Lager. Brewed with Magpie Coffee Roasters Pica Pica coffee blend. 5.5% ABV.
Revision Brewing Co. is releasing Mindful Fermentation NE DIPA on Friday, 10/5, in the taproom only. Brewed with Citra, Simcoe and a bit of milk sugar. 8.5% ABV.
Big Dogs Brewing has released Mans Best Friend 003, a Belgian Style Stout Aged in Jameson Irish Whiskey Barrels.
Black Rabbit Meads has hinted on social media that they have secured a brewing space on 4th street and anticipate opening in spring of 2019.
