Today (Wednesday) is Beer Can Appreciation Day where we commemorate the first time beer was sold in cans. The first brewery to can beer was Gottfried Krueger Brewing Co. of Newark, New Jersey, 83 years ago. You can read a good article about the history of beer cans HERE.

Barley’s Angels of Northern Nevada – Monthly Meeting

Releases

IMBĪB Custom Brews has a couple of new beers. After two months of lagering at 32 degrees they have released Munich Dunkel. This beer is known as liquid bread and tastes just like it. The beer is balanced between rich toasted bread and melanoidin malt sweetness. The beer finishes clean and crisp making it very sessionable.

Also, Jalepeno Pineapple NV Weisse is on tap. It’s a balance between sweet pineapple, spicy jalapeño, and tangy NV weisse.

Pigeon Head Brewery has released  Hazy River IPA, a New England-style/Hazy IPA, named after the Wai-iti hop imported from New Zealand and known for tropical and citrus flavors and aroma. Paired with El Dorado and Citra hops! Available in the taproom and in cans soon. 6.7% ABV

Alibi Ale Works has released Stable Genius, a West Coast-style semi-hazy IPA loaded with Simcoe, Azacca and Cascade hops. Big aromas of stinky recreationally-available herbs, unique graham cracker undertones and a bittersweet orange marmalade finish. 6.9% ABV.

Shoe Tree Brewing has released the second part of their Our Neon series, Neon Boneyard NE DIPA. Juicy with loads of pineapple and tropical fruit aroma! 7.5% ABV, 40 IBU.

10 Torr Distilling & Brewing is introducing the Sparkle Pony, a plum saison and Old World Mocha Milk Stout made with coffee from Old World and cocoa nibs.

On Friday (1/26), Revision Brewing Co. will release Sparkle Muffin NE Style IPA a
fruit-forward single IPA features deep flavors of citrus and easy drinking. Don’t wait until later, enjoy right meow! 
7% ABV,  30 IBU,
