We have added a couple of new happenings to our EVENTS page! Just in case you wanted to plan ahead…
IMBĪB Custom Brews has a few new releases:
Dark Mild is a Brown Ale. Traditional English-style Dark Mild with a focus on malt including nutty, toasty, chocolate, and sweet flavors. Cask conditioned and served on the beer engine. 4.7% ABV.
Snow Flower is a Flanders Red Sour. A malty red ale aged for 2 years in various barrels, puncheons, and foeders. Malty sweet notes balanced with sour complimented by red wine like characteristics. 6.3% ABV.
Candy Cigarettes is a Fruited Sour. Cherry berliner-weisse back-sweetened with lactose and vanilla. A sour gateway beer for those afraid of sours. 4.2% ABV.
Revision Brewing has released a couple of new beers…
Amarillo Revenge is beer #4 in their Revenge series. It is a single hopped 2xIPA. Amarillo is a flowery, spicy, tropical, citrus-like hop with qualities of orange and lemon. 65 IBU, 9.0% ABV.
Chains Required Double White IPA. This is a collaboration between Sacramento Beer Enthusiasts and Revision Brewing Company. The fruit forward hops compare and contrast very nicely with the slightly spicy Belgian yeast character, a welcome winter treat for all to enjoy. 60 IBU, 8.5% ABV.
Brasserie Saint James has recently released Savoy Truffle, an Oatmeal Chocolate Stout.
The Savoy Truffle is a song off of The Beatles (White Album). A lighthearted song written by George Harrison, inspired by his friend Eric Clapton’s gluttonous love of chocolate.
South Lake Brewing has released Exhilarator, a German doppelbock. Munich malt and various crystal malts give notes of freshly toasted bread, caramel candy, and fig jam. This beer is complex and boozy – perfect for sipping while reminiscing about your day on the slopes. 9.0% ABV.
Mammoth Brewing has released Been Dessert’D in collaboration with Dessert’D Organic Bake Shop. It is a salted caramel breakfast stout with a sweet caramel chocolate aroma followed by a caramel, oats, chocolate body that finishes nicely with a mild salty bitter stout finish. 4.5% ABV.
The closure of Under The Rose Brewing also put the brakes on the winter, Freeze Your Pints Off beer festival. Fortunately, the Nevada Craft Brewers Association stepped in and picked up the ball and will be putting on this festival at Downtown City Plaza (the one with the whale) on Saturday, March 23. Tickets are on sale.
