Lead Dog Cherry GoseLead Dog Brewing has just released a Cherry Gose. Head Brewer, Ryan Gaumer describes this beer as having “light aroma of tart cherry, not medicinal, and slight sour funk that fades to a tartness that doesn’t linger and finishes slightly malty thanks to the white wheat. ”

Two-row barley and white wheat make up the grain bill with a little Cascade hops for a nice aromatic finish and not much bitterness. Fresh tart cherries were added for flavor and color. A very drinkable 4.4% ABV makes this a beer you can drink all summer. A stronger version may surface in the fall.

This beer will be canned toward the end of June so look for it in Reno, Carson, Tahoe and northern CA.

When talking about this beer, Ryan said, “We wanted to satisfy the sour seekers with a good, light, summer thirst-quenching beer but not being too sour. We also wanted to keep the price point right so people may enjoy it in 16 oz. cans all summer long.”
